Hi, I’m Yasmina

After living in eight countries and immersing myself in diverse academic and cultural environments, one truth has remained clear: gender inequality is universal, though its manifestations differ from place to place.

Raised by a single mother in a country where laws still oppress women, my values and voice were forged in the shadow of systemic injustice. I have seen how fear, tradition, and structural violence conspire to silence women, eroding their rights and dignity.

This lived experience is the foundation of my work. I have dedicated my life to challenging these systems, amplifying marginalized voices, and creating spaces where women, across my region and around the world, can claim their power and shape their own futures.

Get to know me!

I'm a social entrepreneur and global advisor. I build platforms that turn feminist principles into economic and political power for women, because I know what it means to need both.

Over the past decade, I've supported the leadership, political participation, and economic empowerment of more than 100,000 young women worldwide through capacity-building, policy advocacy, and global partnerships. My digital advocacy and thought leadership have reached more than 15 million people across climate justice, migration, and inclusive governance.

I am the founder of Politics4Her, one of the largest intersectional youth-led organizations advancing women's leadership globally and Umriden, an ethical beauty marketplace that channels global consumer demand directly into women's cooperatives across Morocco and the SWANA region. I am also co-founder of Climate Sirens, a climate-tech social enterprise amplifying indigenous and frontline voices in climate action through innovation and storytelling.

I have collaborated with UN agencies, philanthropic institutions, NGOs, and grassroots civil society organizations across multiple regions, and currently serve as advisor and board member to several global initiatives. My work has been recognised by the BBC as one of 100 Most Influential and Inspiring Women, Forbes 30 Under 30, Top 100 Under 40 Most Influential People of African Descent, and UN Women as a Peacebuilder.

“Growing up in Morocco and having a single mother, I witnessed and experienced firsthand how hard it was for women to have equal access to rights and opportunities simply because they were women.”
